Njeri

Cooks for a family of five

How someone like Njeri might use Timiya

Njeri cooks dinner for five in Umoja. Tonight it's ugali, beans, and cabbage, and the pot feeds everyone, her husband Kevin included.

After dinner she takes one photo and logs the whole pot. Timiya asks how many people ate from it. Her three children are on her household, so each one gets a simple view of what their week's food gave them. Kevin doesn't use the app. He eats from the same pot, and that's enough.

On the meal, Timiya suggests one change for next time: sukuma wiki instead of cabbage. Its meal ideas are for Njeri's own next meal, so she reads them while packing tomorrow's lunch.

On Thursday she buys sukuma wiki from the mama mboga instead. It's still the dinner everyone knows, and nobody at the table has to do anything different.
